Google's Feb. 2005 Update
As many of you have seen from the forum chatter, Google's undergone a significant update this week. To help you, here are the key threads on the topic at the forum. This thread is closed but will be updated as other key threads need to be added. To discuss, enter one of the other threads below.
Google Feb. 2005 Update: Observations About Changes: Visit this thread to discuss the changes generally, swap tips on what might be happening, get advice and ideas from others. This is NOT for discussion of LSI/LSA ideas. What's that? Well... Major Google Changes: Latent Semantic Analysis?: Are the changes caused by the use of LSA/LSI content analysis. This is the place to discuss. Links can now penalize?: Is there an argument to be made that Google has assigned some form of negative value to links? Long-time site sandboxed after a CSS redesign: Some have complained that the changes have made sites that should rank for their own names disappear.
