Which URL is Better?
Hello,
I am designing a site where anybody can download free backgrounds for tumblr. With respect to SEO, which of the following URLs is better: 1) SmartBackgrounds.com 2) SmartTumblrBackgrounds.com Each option has its positive and negative attributes - Option 1 is short but does not include my keywords, while Option 2 is long but includes my key words (tumblr backgrounds). Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

would go for longer - this is the type of site that will get 90% of its traffic from search and including tumblr is key

It really depends on your overall strategy. If you're going to be only doing tumblr backgrounds, then you may want to use tumblr in the domain name. However, if you are going to be doing any sort of other backgrounds in the future, then you'll want to go with the first one, where you can build a brand.

yeah you could go with shorter and create a subdomain tumblr.xxx.com and do same for all the other types of background with the main domain just talking in general terms about design
