Feeback Greatly Appreciated
Greetings,
I own LearningTrove.com, which offers educational videos for sale. Until recently, there had been no proactive SEO performed, but over the last couple of months, my partner, an accomplished SEO specialist, has effected the addition of numerous inbound links. (Alexa indicates 98) We would not expect to be dominating, at this early stage, but we are mystified that there is no evidence of progress in our Google search results, for terms that are not hugely competitive. Are we overlooking something? Also, with Yahoo no longer offering site info, what is the best, accessible tool for gauging inbound links? (I'm guessing Alexa may not be the ultimate) Any knowledgeable feedback/suggestions, greatly appreciated. Thanks. Mel |

Re: Feeback Greatly Appreciated
The ranking changes can be varied in time - some niches are not updated as quickly as others - your area's data center may not be synched with the main one as often
Read through these Yahoo Site Explorer Alternatives Links can take some time - the sites have to be crawled and those pages of the site need to be crawled and then the links are recorded and the destination pages have to be crawled If the links are in popular well crawled sites then they will happen quicker - try using some of your own pages to drop in content links - add pages about the topics that are specific to your longer tail terms too
