HI SEO's,
I have somewhere read about SEO vs HTML5, where HTML5 will replace strategy of SEO'S. I mean when HTML5 tags are applied there is no need for SEO or optimizing the page as it automatically does it. Is this true? ![]() |

Re: Will HTML5 Replace SEO's?
It is absolutely true! As a matter of fact the search engines are so powerful and almighty that it is impossible to optimize your rankings at all today. You won't profit by optimizing your website. All SEOs should just stop working and leave the serps all to me.
Sorry I couldnt resist having a little fun. HTML5 will change how some things are done with the on page ranking factors. It will not impact all on-page SEO factors and it probably won't significantly impact the off-page SEO factors. SEO is not a simple process. It is a process that involves doing many things that contribute to improving your website for search engine traffic. You may find that HTML5 helps with your SEO process but I am very confident that you will discover HTML5 will not replace all of your SEO efforts.

Re: Will HTML5 Replace SEO's?
I agree with goodroi.
I'm not very knowledgeable about what exactly html5 will do, but the worst case scenario would be that it replaces all on-page SEO factors. Even if that happened (I highly doubt it will..to that extent), then there would still be all off-page factors. SEO would simply move further away from on-page optimization to off-page optimization (aka marketing) which already started when google introduced links to the ranking algorithms. Actually, I also highly doubt that HTML5 might stand a chance to optimize the internal linking structure of a website - I would consider that an on-page factor; thus even in the worst case HTML5 wouldnt even replace all on-page SEO I think your fear of HTML5 doing lots of damage to the SEO business is irrational; however I think other threats exist (such as Google pushing the organic ads way down) |

Re: Will HTML5 Replace SEO's?
HTML 5 will introduce new features that help us (and search engines) better dissect a webpage. In the past, <div> elements have been used everywhere where, in HTML 5 an array of elements will be available to describe navigation, text sections, articles and headers. The improved sectioning could quite easily assist a search engine in understanding the layout of a page – check out this post on block analysis to understand why that’s cool.

No tools or robots will fine-tune your keywords optimized nor do content optimization.
