Additional dates being added for live 'new AdWords UI' webinars

Earlier, in another thread, I posted about a live (and free) webinar which took place on June 26, which covered the new Adwords user interface.

Since then several additional webinar dates have been added, and I have mentioned them in that older thread - but I am guessing that folks might not see these posts because of the 'outdated' date in the subject line of that thread.

So, I thought I'd start this new thread, and not put an actual date in the subject line.

In any case, the team which developed the new AdWords UI will be holding free 1-hour live webinars each week, in which they will walk you through the new interface, show you how to use the new features, and answer your questions.

The next two webinars will be held on these dates and times:

Wednesday, July 1 - 9:30 AM PDT

Friday, July 10 - 9:30 AM PDT

If you're interested in attending, you may register on this page:

http://sites.google.com/site/newinterfacewebinars/

Please notes that further new dates will be added each week for the near future - and these, too, will be posted on the page referenced above.

On that same page you'll find a link to a 'Google Moderator' page on which you can send us your questions/vote for the questions you'd like to have answered.

Thanks, and I hope this will prove to be useful for you as you come up to speed on the new UI.

As I've mentioned before... if you haven't attended one of these webinars yet, sign up now. Well worth the time.

Thanks for that, Mel66!

By the way, I did personally pass your 'Please slow down a bit!' comment from that other thread along to my colleague, as I mentioned that I would. I had her read it right off my screen.

When she did, she chuckled a bit and said that one person in the last webinar had said the very same thing - and we wagered that it was you.

If that is so, then thanks very much for the feedback both there and here.

LOL AWR, actually it wasn't me during the webinar, although I did see that comment (and agreed with it).

Actually, my question was "when will we get a sticky date range across clients in the MCC?" I feel like a broken record on this one...

Hahahah!

Well, I just quoted the 'sticky date range' part in the Advertiser Feedback Report that goes out each Thursday night - so they'll hear it again before too long.

An aside to all: the report will go out around 7:00pm PDT tonight (much earlier than usual due to Friday being a holiday in the US, and I want report readers to take it with them on their long weekend) - and any feedback about the new UI will be happily pased along.

Just add it to this thread, and I'll do the rest.

Thanks in advance.

Hey (ADWORDSREP)

Regarding: http://sites.google.com/site/newinterfacewebinars

Any Idea, when the past webinar's will be available in archive form . As much as I love being able to sit down at 9:30 in the morning and listen for an hour. Certain members of our management team think my time is better used elsewhere!. Could you post in this the forum when they are available.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, searchengineman - I did not see your post until now.

A very good question - thanks for bringing it up.

I'll look into it, and report back - most likely tomorrow, Wednesday.

===========================================

I know what you mean about watching things that look like fun instead of work, BTW. I often watch YouTube videos or visit sites that are entirely within the realm of my work - but if they look like too much fun, I sometimes feel like I should explain to my cubemates how what I'm doing is work-related.

An artifact of past jobs no doubt.

The funny thing is that it's just me being odd about it - no one has ever said a word! This, at a place where I have never had a manager who has ever paid the slightest attention to what time I arrive, when I leave, or what I'm doing in-between!

Re: Additional dates being added for live 'new AdWords UI' webinars

OK, back again, searchengineman - with what is at least a semi-useful update.

I've checked with colleagues on the team that present the webinars, and am told that archived webinars will likely be available the end of next week.

I've learned the hard way that actual dates can shift from what was earlier anticipated, so please take that as an estimate.

I'll post again to this same thread once I know that an archived webinar is live and ready-to-go.

By the way, I understand that these archived webinars will be available on the same page I referenced earlier in this post, which is:

http://sites.google.com/site/newinterfacewebinars/

Finally!

searchengineman, quite some time ago you wrote:

To which I replied:

Well, that day has come. My apology that it took a bit longer than I had predicted.

You'll find an archived webinar was added today - and is available from the page linked-to below - using the 'Previous Webinars' link at the top left:

New AdWords Interface Webinars
https://sites.google.com/site/newinterfacewebinars

While I am here, I'll also mention the next (free) webinar which is coming up a week from today. The exact date and time are:

Wednesday, August 5, 2009 - 9:30 AM PDT

You may register (and also add any questions you'd like to see addressed during the webinar) on the same page to which I linked above.

On that same page you will also find links to other resources to assist you in coming up-to-speed with the new AdWords interface. Future webinar dates will be published there, too, as they are added to the schedule.

===============================

As an important aside, I will happily pass along any feedback you might have about the new interface (whether negative, positive or neutral) directly to the new UI team - per their request.

So, please feel free.

Darn. No feedback to pass along.

I guess I'll assume that this means the new interface is now perfect, unless I hear otherwise - heheh.

(Still about three to four hours to go, though, if anyone does have any feedback. )

Re: Additional dates being added for live 'new AdWords UI' webinars

I wanted to bring this thread back to the top of the page one more time - and mention what is planned to be the final 'New AdWords Interface Webinar'.

So, if you have thought about participating in a live version of the webinar, please make it this one.

It is occuring on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 9:30 AM PDT

As has been mentioned previously in this thread you may register for this free webinar, and/or watch an archived webinar, and/or access 'new UI' resources on this page:

New AdWords Interface Webinars
