URL re-writing software
We're in the process of a website re-design for a decent sized e-commerce website with a lot of dynamic content+URLs. It's going to be an entirely new site from the ground up being moved to a new server ect..
We're looking for the URLs to be rewritten in an SEO friendly manner and we have plans to use canonical tags because of problems with duplicate pages and a faceted navigation system to boot. Apparently the software we have used in the past is called Helicon, and this same software is planned to be used again. Here is the site if anyone wants to check it out: isapirewrite(dot)com I'm wondering if anyone here has heard of this software. What's your opinion on it? Is there a better solution out there for SEO or do you think that this will do the job nicely and optimal? |

Re: URL re-writing software
seems decent enough - I have always been a linux guy so use OsCommerce or Xcart to build out the sites and they now have plugins for SEO - can even incorporate with wordpress or drupal.
