Images not showing up on images.google.com

I put up a whole bunch of my website/product pictures and they don't seem to be showing up in google. I had a few questions that maybe some of you SEO masters could help with.

Here is what I have done:

I added the images to directory with index.html page in it so its in sitemap.
Added Alt text
Image names are descriptive and SEO'd
Added descriptive achor text.
Turned on Enhanced Image Search in Google Webmaster Tools


Question 1. How long does it take images to show up? Is it just a waiting game now?

Question 2. Should you really create separate optimized XHTML pages for each images with a thumb on a main page?

Question 3. Am I missing something obvious?

You done all gud things to get results in image search but i think you shud wait because image search results also depend on your keyword competition. Just check how competitive are your keywords and according to them try to optimize your website and respective pages.

You cud give support your images by adding a title on the top of each image in H1 tag targeting your main keywords and in the bottom of each image if possible add some description about image in H2 tag.

Also see that anchor texts you used support your targeted keywords or not. If not then change them according to your goal.

As sachinagg mentioned, images may be indexed and just not showing up for the words you're searching for, try replacing "searchenginewatch.com" with your domain name in the URL below.
