Not seeing my ads

Hi

Several of my different accounts are in the same industry and therefore I bid on the same keywords. Over the past few days I noticed that none of the sites were appearing.

In response to this I increased my CPC so that at least three of the different accounts should have been competing with each other for at least positions 3, 4, 4 or 6.

As the CPC increased the sites started to appear but they seemed to take it in turns i.e they only showed intermittently.

I know Google has several servers so you don’t always see the same results but for the CPC I was paying on the keywords the sites should have shown most of the time.

Can anyone give an explanation of the above?

Many thanks

Re: Not seeing my ads

Woolly - its likely your accounts are being linked, which means Google may feel you are one company with multiple accounts. In these cases they will not allow "duplicate ads" or more than one ad to run at a time.

Contact CS or your account rep and provide proof to them that you have multiple accounts that are serving unique, unrelated businesses that are in the same verticle.

Discovery nailled it.... you need to explain to Google rep that they are absolutely different companies... if they are all you then the ride is over - they are now linked

Re: Not seeing my ads

Despite all the fancy tools available to handle multiple accounts I recommend that each client opens their own AdWords account and then gives you the login info so you can login and manage each account *totally independently*.

Google (rightly so) does not want you bidding against yourself.

Re: Not seeing my ads

How does Google track this? Is it automatic or does it get brought to their attention by other advertisers?

Many thanks for all your answers thus far.

Re: Not seeing my ads

Google knows the words are in multiple campaigns in one MCC - and does not allow that unless they know what is happening - hard to convince they are different companies unless you can get them to know who the individual advertisers are.... and working same words for multiple people can have some conflict of interest
