can anyone help?

A newbie question.

How can I search for sites that are related to my industry. Say for e.g. I have a site that sells USB drives then how can I search other related sites? My team wants to go for one-way link building, but doesnot want to go for forum, blog post, social networking etc... How should I start searching for related sites? Your help will be much appreciated.

Re: can anyone help?

SEOinsites.com has a great tool that will help you query various sets of keywords to find what you need. You can also just type in a phrase into Google and once you get the results, click on similar pages which will give you another set of results. I'd also recommend looking for sites that allow guest authors and if you write the content, you can insert links that way. Also, you can go to the Yahoo Directory and DMOZ and search in the categories that are directly related to your site.

If you want to find niche directories, I recommend going into high quality directories (like Best of the Web) and going into the categories that most closely match your industry. Often, they will have a "directories" subcategory which may give you additional sites to submit links to. Hope that helps!

Re: can anyone help?

YOu may also do it manually by typing some commands on SE query.
you may try these commands:
"your main keyword phrase" + links
"Suggest link" +"your keyword(s)"
"Suggest site" + "your keyword(s)"
"Suggest URL" +"your keyword(s)"
"recommended links" +"your keyword(s)"

Re: can anyone help?

mooreseo I noticed that you mentioned seoinsites.com and thought i'd add that i've been using the tools they have there (great tools, btw) however, i understand that they limit the membership there and it might be closed right now. (i think there's a waiting list or something like that) anyway, I got tired of doing all my SEO analysis manually and found that the tools there speed up the process astronomically. so, zankhana, if you can get enrolled into the site i think that will help you get the data/analysis that you need much faster. Anyway, hope this helps.
