Keyword search statistics

How it can be find that how many visitors use a specific keyword for their search in a month, e.g. I want to know how many times a keyword, i.e. "Sound System" has been searched in a month over the Google and Yahoo search engines...

I know keyword research tool by Google tracks the relative amount of searches performed so it's not the exact amount.

Overture keyword selector tool can give you information on searches performed on Yahoo and it's affiliate engines, but I have had trouble on getting it to work for me =(.

Wordtracker will give you the amount of searches performed across the web, and even gives a prediction on searches to be performed.

YSM's keyword research type tool will give you a relative amount of searches.

MSN adcenter gives exact number of searches.

Then there is a slew of tools that can cost a hefty amount of money. For a general idea of searches performed in a month, the free tools are sufficient.

There is not a tool that will provide the exact number across search engines, that I'm aware of but if you would like to compare terms searched on Google try Google Trends.
