Javascript Question
Our company's website uses javascript for the navigation of the top header on each of our pages. I am concerned that search engines are seeing this and giving weight to this rather than the actual content of our pages. It seems as though search engines are giving weight to terms like 'document.write', 'topnav', 'header' and all this other gibberish tht is in the javascript code.
Is there anyway to have the search engines spiders (or whatever) ignore the javascript, while keeping it in our site? It seems stupid to me that document.write shows up 25 times before any of our actual content. Thanks, Chris |

Re: Javascript Question
In most cases search engines ignore javascript but as a result they may not be following links in your site within the javascript. You may consider a static sitemap, linking to pages without the use of javascript.

Re: Javascript Question
Thanks. I hope that is the case as we do have a static sitemap and I am not that concerned about losing the links in the javascript.
