New to SEO/PPC

I just joined up with a small company as a PPC Analyst and will be working on small/mid sized business campaigns.

I know nothing about SEO or PPC Advertising.

What are some really great resources around PPC Advertising and Keywords/Keyword Research that I could read up on? Blog's, Wiki's, E-books or Online guides... Sites that are reputable and have some good data. Not necessarily consultancies with blogs or info about their services.

Thanks for the advice...

A number...

There are a ton of good spots of information out there. Look at the big boys and delve from there.

www.seomoz.org
www.seobook.com
www.searchengineland.com

Just a few to get started, but it's fairly easy to find solid listings out there on PPC and SEM. Read some of Google's introductory stuff, work to become AdWords certified. Little things like that can go a long way.

Believe it or not, when I started I went to B&N and got PPC for dummies, great starting point, well worth the $19! I was asking questions right out of the gate, and proves that your eager to learn.

And try this for an article on keyword research:

Also. I was much in the same boat as you are now. I bought SEO for dummies. It is a few years old, but it will definitely get you rolling.

Good article, it's pointing out some elements in keyword research that are often neglected.
