Did this ProBlogger Really make $100,000.00 a month from AdSense?
I saw on another forum where there was a picture of this guy with a check for 1 month of adsense revenue of over 100k! Do You people think this is possible or is it fake or mebe even he let his revenue build to get 1 big check? I was originally inspired by problogger.net when he said he made 100k/year! I make about 1,000$ a month and feel I am doing well. Its nice to think $100,000.00 A MONTH is possible.

ProBlogger is the real deal. I could never generate that kind of income from blogging. If you spend 10 mins to read his site and then mine you will see what I am talking about ![]() Last edited by ShoeMoney : 06-03-2006 at 04:55 PM. |

Last I checked he was ranking well for 'make money online' and he is the real deal.
He needs to up his hosting plan, it's lagging badly. You'd think he'd be better prepared, oh well... Last edited by Wilksy : 06-05-2006 at 03:23 AM. Reason: added |

With that I am not saying you can't make a million in 3 month - just that it's questionable if this guy actually did ![]() Shoemoney, on the other side, is very real ... |

Jeremy (shoemoney) also clarified he did not earn $100,000.00 from blogging.
Jeremy owns quite a few websites... if you read his story you can figure out the one niche he spends a great deal of time in. As for marcus of plentyofishes..he made a lot of "claims".... offers no proof though. |

ProBlogger...
I'm not sure who the picture of but as I've had a few people ask me whether it's me and coming to my site (Problogger.net) from this thread so I thought I'd clarify that it's not me and has nothing to do with me - I wish it was :-)

Yeah but no-one is talking about how much he spent in advertising to get that amount back.
There is no-one making that number from organic.... numbers just don't hold for any individual term to generate that without buying a lot of additional traffic somewhere or have a really good cheat in place. |

No I don't - in fact, I KNOW the opposite to be true in this case, but you can think whatever you like. You don't even know what site he is operating - if you did, you would agree with me

To gain all of this from organic would take a website that is generating at least 6-10 (and more to the 10) million page views purely generated from organic and have a eCPM of $13 to $20 for the entire site.....
I run sites (not a site... a few individual sites) with those numbers and the click rate after the initial arrival would be tough to constantly push that... unless there was a bunch of black hat techniques being used to force actions etc. The keywords that would generate a high CPC do not have the traffic.... 300K through organic would require a thousand sites generating $10 a day.... |

If you know how to uptimize AdSense you can easily make $50 CPM - hell, I make double that on Danish sites! With $50 it would take less than 100.000 organic visitors a day and that is indeed doable.
> sigh...who says I dont know Then check out Alexa stats (or whatever you like) and you'll see (though not 100% accurate, I know) that this site must be driving visitors in the above mentioned range. I am not going to out the site name, because Shoemoney chose not do so. If you want to confirm the site you'll have to ask him. But really, this discussion is a bit silly. If you don't believe him, so what? Don't Neither Shoemoney, or me, is trying to sell you anythng |

It's about the niche you are running on your website(s) too. Not just pure traffic.
100.000 organic visits can generate the same income as 400.000 or even 1.000.000. Optimization of the ads and better placement trough tests also gets people a lot higher on their income scale. Most users just throw that default Adsense code in a page and expect to make a fortune. Jeremy has websites belonging to plenty of succesfull niches. Problogger.com generates a lot of articles on affiliate business and online revenue generated activities. A lot of people are interested in those fields. My 2cents. |

there is no doubt about it that shoemoney is a big earner and I must add a well respected guy in the SES/SEO circles as I have heard a lot of good reports about him from a number of people on both sides of the pond
even though there is no concrete edvidence of Marcus holding up a large cheque he did go into a lot of detail on a thread over at webmasterworld on how he achieved keeping his site online with the amount of traffic hitting it every day for which I have respect for, if that be a true or false posting by him only he would know ? there is a lot of twists in this saga between them both and it could be true to say they are both guilty of launching their own PR roadshow, one posting a photo on a forum hiding behind a large adsense cheque and the other posting how he "aledgedly" earned a million in 3 months but gave no concrete evidence of recieving a large payment, lets be honest here its raised the profile of both of them as it got forums posting about it and everyone discussing it or you could say it's just "shameless self promotion" on both sides when earning that type of money they did not need it in the first place ![]() whatever way you look at it its still gives a lot of inspiration to other webmasters and adsense publishers that it is possible to achieve large earning whilst still only having low over heads and for that I have a lot of respect for both of them Last edited by dannysullivan : 06-07-2006 at 07:52 AM. |

I guess I have been in my narrow niche for too long and forget that there are other broader industries that get millions of searches a day.
Between organic placements of say spots 1, 2 4, 7, 9 and the top two PPC spots in the blue area I have managed to grab 60+ percent of searches.... but generally a solid 30 plus comes from the PPC. |
