Big shake-up in the search space. Steve Berkowitz, who runs Ask.com, is heading to MSN. I've posted some details in Ask.com Chief Steve Berkowitz Jumps Ship To Microsoft's MSN on the blog. What does everyone think?

You would think they would have a non-compete.

Big news! I hope MSN will become a big player soon...
Non-competes? Money talks really and if someone wants to join a rival they often will! |

Very interesting timing. With the release of the "New" Ask.com, and the dollars being spent on marketing by Ask.com.
If this is not a shot over the bow, from MSN to Ask.com... You are going to try and take our marketshare? Okay, we will just take your CEO! Ouch! |

I don't mean to be smart-ass...
but isn't there a serial killer by the name of Steve Berkowitz? |

Whoda Thunk It?
Looks like MSN is trying to buy that missing market share.
Let them not forget tho - Google is what it is because they built a search engine that gives the people what they want. Simply the most relevant results on the web today. Instead of trying to buy that market share... if technology is what Microsoft does best... let them go back to the drawing board and... BUILD THE BETTER ENGINE! |

Just another example of Microsoft trying to buy their way into the lead. When will they learn that the technology is the most important factor in Search?

Perhaps MSN is looking for a quick way to reduce staff? ![]() (Actually, you are probably thinking of "Son of Sam" killer David Berkowitz. ) |
