Danny reports IAC's Barry Diller To Keynote SES NY 2006 Next Month. How huge is that?!!!!
Anyway, if there are things you want Danny to have Mr. Diller address, let us know here. Maybe Danny can swing in a few of our questions. |

Hey Barry, thought you'd like the announcement.
Yep, at the moment it's looking like Barry Diller will do a presentation to start things off, then we're likely to do a sit down with some questions. I was going to start a thread later on to ask people for things they'd like to see asked, so feel free to fire away now. |

A colleague of mine, head of a midsized technology firm, thinks Diller's impact in the field could still be huge. Part of the challenge in the field is recruiting great new talent. Without Diller, the argument could be made that Ask would have a harder time recruiting. With him, a lot of hot young talent could be swayed to jump on board, goes the argument.
So I guess my question would be: do you think that your high profile as a media exec and owner of many prominent online brands will help you recruit talent in a way that a similar-sized search company wouldn't normally be able to do? How is that effort going and how do you see it going in 2006? |
