Tools ??? Tools ??? Information Overload

I see allot information about SEO optimization.

I see that Web CEO offers some SEO training. Is it worth it? I am skilled with website development. Just never had to deal with SEO because the company I work for does not need it. I am doing a little side work and need to optimize my own sites. Seemed to be allot of advice maybe to much.
I am looking at the following tools. Web CEO,SEO Studio,IMP 8 and WebPosition Gold. The WEB CEO seems to offer some online training. But is it up to date.
I have decided to use dream weaver for most sites and Microsoft VS 2005 for my data driven sites.
I am still going through the learning curve on all the tools.
I think one will even generate some base line page frame work for your optimized key words.
