NetLogo Upgrade
Uri Wilensky Associate Professor of Learning Sciences and Computer Science Director, Center for Connected Learning and Computer-based Modeling Executive Committee, Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems emailed me today to announce the new upgrade to NetLogo. "The NetLogo development team at the Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based Modeling at Northwestern University is pleased to announce NetLogo 3.0." "This is a major release that substantially expands NetLogo's capabilities." "NetLogo 3.0 is available for free download from our site at" http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/ If you are not aware of it, NetLogo is a university project that lists cutting-edge software, applets, etc. in several disciplines, many interfacing with each other. Here you can find anything from SmallWords, to DLA, to Fractals, to ... you name it. Try the followings SmallWorlds This model explores the formation of networks that result in the "small world" phenomenon -- the idea that a person is only a couple of connections away any other person in the world. A popular example of the small world phenomenon is the network formed by actors appearing in the same movie (e.g. the "six degrees of Kevin Bacon" game), but small worlds are not limited to people-only networks. Problab This is a collection of software on many probability and stats subjects If you are a math or computer science fan, check the Turin Machine, Random Walk or L-System Fractals. Feel free to download and share your feedback here. Cheers Orion Last edited by orion : 09-16-2005 at 01:53 PM. |
