Name The Google Jet

In case you missed it, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin are apparently buying a Boeing 767. It may be for their personal use, or it may come out that they want to shuttle Googlers around.

I think it need a name, whatever the case. I joked it might be "Google Force One," but Air Google I suppose might work. Or AirGoogle? GoogleAir? Or will that be the name of the fleet, and the plane itself has a different name.

Anyway, got your own idea of a name? Jot it down here, I'll make up a poll after we get a few, and we can have a vote!

Well considering how much data Google has collected, how they are processing it and making it available.. how about naming the new plane "Big Brother"

What's wrong with plain old GoogleJet? It would be consistent with Google's other naming conventions.

Could also be Gjet... GeeJet... or maybe jet.google.com.

FroogleJet feels like an oxymoron, though the purchase might turn out to be a cost saver.

After all, he company is named after googol, 10 to the power of 100 (1 followed by 100 zeros); and the Head Office is named after googolplex (1 followed by a googol of zeroes); and the IPO filing was to raise $2,718,281,828, which was the product of "e" and $1 billion, (where "e" - Euler's number - is the base of the natural logarithm -and equals about 2.718281828).

I've heard* the Boeing 676 will have some other custom features:

• The navigation system will be replaced by Google Earth. It can't find airports very well, but if you need the nearest hotel you are set!
  
  
• Rather than going to the carousel and waiting for your luggage to come to you, you will go to a computer terminal and do a search. You will then be offered several million choices as to where in the airport your luggage might be, with their best guesses first. This is called "progress".
  
  
• The food served will be better, but the only drinks available will be Jolt Cola and Starbucks coffee. Caffeine improves productivity.
  
  
• First Class seats will be assigned to you based on how much you bid for them (AdSeats). If you are too cheap to bid, you will be sent back to coach and left to fight it out with the other passengers for a good seat.
  
  
• CNet reporters are not allowed to board. No exceptions. Spammers ok, as long as they spend lots on AdSeats.

Why we can say Making Money Airways

Hi All,

Like the thread or at least the idea behind it. Aircraft owners normally spend more time IMHO thinking about a suitable regristration for their planes as well as just the name of the bird... Ok I can't imagine why they'd consider taking the aircraft off a "N" November registration (US) for a UK "G" Golf listing except for the fact it could be something like: G-OOGL or G-OGLE instead of N12345.

Just a thought.
