MSN APIs Coming September 13th

Mr. Sullivan reports that "MSN is to offer series of APIs for MSN Search, MSN Virtual Earth, MSN Messenger and MapPoint for developers who wish to tap into or enhance these products. The program and information isn't live yet, but it will go up in the near future here."

Y! DTC is coming its coming..ah ok not until next year

MSN is coming September 13, its coming... ok its 9/3 but its not here.

If they picked Sept. 13 as the launch date and announced it on their website as they have done, you would think that this is a pretty rock solid deadline. One so solid that the moment the date changed to 9/13/2005 it would be live, no?... no.

Is this not the same company that is known for the midnight release of their OS?

We are so many people and companies over promise and under deliver?

Eek. Feedback from one of our tech guys yesterdayon MSN's beta API:

I got 404 errors the first 5 times I tries to download it even. I think Microsoft is still working stuff out on this. Some of the URLs it needs to reference give 404 errors and calls to it from the sample application time out.
