Is Google Inserting Paid Results into Natural Results?

All,

I just did a search for "Flickr" on google. When the search results first appeared I was shown one set of results. Then about 1 second later, I was shown a different set of results.

Every "2nd set of results" that I was sent had a result for LYCOS in one of the top two positions. Somehow I don't think a Lycos result is relevant for every search I've done today.

Has anyone else seen this? BTW: This has happened with all the searches did today.

If i were you, I'd scan my PC for Spyware.... what you are describing is indicative of spyware inserting links on your system....

Thank you very much. If it is spywear, I guess now someone knows about the David Hasselhoff Fansite I secretly write - kidding. What would be a real shame then, would be that Lycos has to use this type of advertising....
