You should possess real world expertise in developing and executing effective search engine optimization, with a proven track record for generating measurable improvements in traffic acquisition. Reporting to the Director of Programming, the position requires a highly motivated individual with deep analytical and problem solving skills along with hands-on experience utilizing advanced reporting tools for SEO reporting and analytics. In addition, you should excel in and enjoy working with a talented team across the entire spectrum, from business intelligence to product management.

Primary responsibilities include:

Identify and define SEO best practices. Create specifications for page optimization improvements. This includes HTML, site structure, and page layout. Work directly with site managers to apply these standards

Develop, execute and manage an SEO program which results in superior coverage for CNET sites to maximize user and traffic acquisition

Work directly with site producers and engineers to make SEO tweaks to templates

Make basic HTML changes to page templates

Audit all content published for search engine optimization compliance

Develop SEO forecasting models and continuously measure, reevaluate and fine-tune SEO program

Develop SEO dashboards for CNET sites. Utilize reporting platforms for capturing, reporting and analyzing SEO performance

Provide insights and expert analysis on what works and what doesn’t. Advise product teams on ways to improve results

Create testing program for testing SEO methods and practices. Work with Director of Programming on planning, scheduling, and conducting SEO experiments

Requirements:
BA or BS required

3-5 years work experience in an SEO program management role. Be prepared to discuss specific SEO achievements

Skilled in HTML with a working knowledge of Web publishing systems

Excellent organizational, project management, analytical, technical and BI skills
Solid background in mathematics and statistics

Strong oral, written and presentation skills

Intimate familiarity with and passion for with CNET Games & Entertainment sites (GameSpot.com, MP3.com, TV.com) a big plus
