Monthly PageRank Membership Site - Need Feedback

Hi, I just built www.google-page-rank.net as a free service to generate monthly reports on pagerank, indexed pages and backlinks (from google, msn, yahoo, alltheweb and altavista). I've logged in and out so many times I'm going crazy. I think I have everything working. Anybody want to give it a try and give me feedback on anything not working (spelling too)?

I bought the site so the site design was not done by me. I'm a programmer, not a designer but I'll take feedback on look/feel as well as functionality.

Please register and try out the membership features and let me know if there are any problems. When you are done, just email support and I'll delete your account. You, of course, can keep the account active.

Hi George...interesting tool you have...similar to others I have seen. Site looks clean and the tool worked fast for a URL I tested.

One thing that worries me from your results page:

Google let’s you know how important it thinks the site you are looking is. This page rank is rated from 1 – 10, 1 being a very light, low-traveled website and ten which is a site like Google where millions of people visit each day. Your google page rank is determined by several factors, keywords, keyword in URL, and reciprocal linking. The larger the number of websites pointing to your site will ultimately help you rise up through the ranking status. You can use this site to determine your google page rank as well as other page ranking information.

I disagree with this definition of PageRank. First of all, a site can have a PageRank of 6 or seven and get three or four visits a day. Secondly, keywords and keywords in URL have nothing to do with PageRank, as far as I know. Maybe you know something different than everyone else about the Google secret algo? thirdly...WARNING BILL ROBINSON...you are advocating link spamming here.

Agreed. Those "gross" generalizations might help a complete novice begin to comprehend pagerank but it's not an accurate description. Plus, the part about keywords in the domain name is totally off. I'll rewrite that part.

Sometimes we tend to focus on stuffing keywords into articles which can throw off the meaning of the article if you're not careful.

You are welcome , George. I also feel that you should maybe sign the article on this page google-page-rank.net/search_engine_strategy.php if you are calling out the entire search engine optimization industry. I will agree that there are some valid points in there...but many attacks and veiled generalizations seem to be the theme again. Did you write all this content? just curious as to the parent company of the site? or is it primarily designed to generate AdWords revenue?
