What do people think of web promotion software? Do they think it can do the same (or even better) job than the manual equivalent. An example of such software comes from Webceo. Does anybody have experience of using this product? Would a company serious about SEM really buy this off the shelf software and do do just as good a job as a seasoned pro? Are all the tips n techniques programmed into the package?

WebCeo is a good tool to rank your KWs in almost all the search engines and to maintain an historical of each one.

We use it basically to do this, the other work we do it manually or with online tools.

no software will have all tips and tricks packed into it.

some stuff requires human interaction. its hard to automate a well known college professor or a site like search engine watch linking to you in an article

who knows, maybe one day it may happen, I know we are working hard on the new SEO Toolkit v2 to be launched soon, to cover as many SEO areas as we can.

Though honestly, I doubt that any tool will be able to replace all that can be in terms of SEO. Tools are merely there to help you save time and remind you of the basics that can and should be done.

No software program can totally replace the skills and expertise of a search engine optimization expert.

However, that doesn't mean that a software program cannot help automate certain tasks that would take a long time to perform manually. For example, there are programs out there that will find most of the links to a website. You can do that manually but surfing the web, but using a program to do that for you will save a lot of time. But again, someone with the experience and expertise to look those links and figure out what they mean and how to deal with all those links.

Expert SEOs use programs as tools--and they use their experience to analyze the results.

I agree with your opinion. But SEO Studio is the best choice for seo expert. (editor added: in the opinion of this poster)

I believe that most SEO Tools these days being Trellain SEO Toolkit, WebCEO etc.. all cover a link pop and reciprocal link checker features.
