Directories and tracked pages in google
I am seeing a lot of my urls listed in SERPs but they are including the tracking code of a particular advertiser. Obviously I am paying for these clicks I would imagine... how they keep tracking would be interesting to find out.
for example: do a search for forex trading... the refcofx listing is a referral from an advertiser. and then there is this one... another weird one and how it occurs I have no idea. do a search for forex... the first listing though giving the forexdirectory url is an ad for us (fxcm.com) which no doubt we are paying for. Any ideas guys???? |

301s
It sounds like these links are using 301 redirects.

I don't think they are 301 redirects.... forexdirectory has held the spot at one for awhile... I think the owner has finally seen a way to monetize that beyond the advertising on the site and have a decent advertiser get the exposure and keep adding more ads.
We are not likely to jump from this site as long as we are getting the referrals. |
