Google News relies in a similar fashion on the editorial judgment of online news organisations to determine which stories are most deserving of inclusion and prominence on the Google News page.

Does anyone have any experience of getting a news resource regularly indexed by Google News, or indeed the optimisation for Google News; i.e. getting news indexed more quickly, ranking higher or more likely to appear on the homepages?

From the above quotes it sounds as though there is some link analysis playing a part in it, so perhaps sites with large sumbers of syndication partners would do well.

Any ideas or experience in this area?
