Cuil is gone
Cuil appears to have ceased operations. "cuil.com" no longer even responds to pings.

I knew they were close to running out of money, and were shopping around for a deal. Looks like it didn't happen.

Yes, they're gone. The employees were told at 11 AM today, and the servers shut down at 4 PM PDT.

Nobody seems to have noticed. No press reports. Not even blog mentions. I only track them because I knew people there. They tried to recruit me when they were starting up.

Even I heard the same thing, CUIL is no more and they sacked all their employees and shut their office.
