They may want to work on issues of relevancy - the results I got were pretty awful, really.

Submitted to the directory, though - that could become a strong feature.

Hi there,
Just a short introduction...

My name is Alistair McIntyre and I am the Guy behind UKWizz.

The main aim of UKWizz is to offer a good overall UK search engine. We are still very new and to an extent the index size is very much our limiting factor.

A lot of people are a bit confused by UK specific. Some people think we only index .co.uk domains and the rest (.com .net) etc are form another source. We index all .UK domains and all global extensions. The UK specific side of things is driven by IP filtering. If your site is based on a Uk ip range and on a suitable domain extension it will be able to get listed.

Some domain extensions are excluded for example .it .es etc where they are clearnly not going to be UK orientated. Alo the global ones com net org etc are acceptable. IP filtering is our main way of finfding UK specific content.

We have also recently introduced a Uk web directory
http://dir.ukwizz.com

Mack.
