Google Clicking on Yahoo Ads?

Yesterday we spotted an interesting visitor who had responded to one of our Yahoo PPC campaigns....It is identified as Google.

Research on the IP address suggests that this could potentially be a spoofed IP, but it is not conclusive. IF this is Google are they conducting research using Yahoo ads? Are they running up costs for Yahoo campaigns that they know also to be Google advertisers? What is the reason behind these visits?

I posted a number of screenshots of Googles visit here

Re: Google Clicking on Yahoo Ads?

Discovery - I'm not sure what you're seeing, but in general these are strange times for search ads.

Yahoo just ran a test of AdWords that finished yesterday, and during the test they were a full Google Search Partner, not just an AdSense publisher as widely reported in the Press.

*If* Google and Yahoo are trying to hammer out a major ad distribution agreement then I would imagine all sorts of testing is going on behind the scenes

Re: Google Clicking on Yahoo Ads?

It could be something as simple as George Reyes doing research ;-)
