Facebook Hires Google's Sheryl Sandberg

Facebook hired Sheryl Sandberg, one of Google's most high-powered senior execs, who heads up global advertising.

Will she be able to solve Facebook's monetization problems?

If she does, is that good news or bad news for marketers? For Facebook users?

Re: Facebook Hires Google's Sheryl Sandberg

It depends on what is monetized... this continuous capturing of information through the apps is a little scary.... but given the information we already share in social networks I guess some of it is being given away anyway.

If Facebook becomes a beacon of demographically niched advertising then a new turn in how the web is marketed could be at hand... and the beta testing of Fire Eagle over at Yahoo is another example of this potential shared info marketing
