Google PageRank Update

Looks as though Google has started updating PageRank again.

I've moved up from a PR3 to PR4 - Was hoping for PR5 but maybe next time.

How is everyone else doing?

Yes,indeed Google has again updated PR and Backlinks on the 28th of Feb 2008.This update is possibly conducted with a different set of algorithms.If this is official ,then it will be the second update for PR and backlinks for the year,considering it had updated PR and backlinks last January contrary to only 3 updates last year.As for me this time I was Unlucky,not only did I loose my backlinks my PR too decreased.If there is anyone who has any significant proof of this update kindly share it with us here.

well i need to gather more quality backlinks and do linkbuilding to get higher PR...

Is the update complete?

I've been working with a site that's still showing PR1 - the same as when started - yet its SERPs have jumped to the top of page 2 for our targeted search, up from not even being with the first 500 results...

We've secured some good links, too, so I'm surprised if our PR hasn't jumped.

A guy named Page invented the Page Rank system, right? In other threads there was a discussion on Page Rank and they indicated that it does not influence SERPS. If that is the case, what importance is PR?

Hello Buddies,

My sites Page Rank was 5 before, and during last (some 6, 7 months back) update, it went to 4.

When i read the forums, during that time, i noticed most of the sites has gone down in PR.

But in this update also (March update), my site has gone down to PR3.

I am worried, what i have done wrongly in Link Building.

Any suggestions?

YOUR PAGE RANK has no relationship with ACTUAL SERPS ( search engine rankings).

You should concentrate on higher rankings rather than high PR

An increase of penalties for Non Editorial Links are showing the most significant results across the index. Both good and bad.
