what is a creative link building for e-commerce

I now have an e-commerce project and i want to bring quality links (i use IBP & ARELIS) to find relavent partners.

But i realy can not think of any small to medium commerce site(pageRank 4) that i know how have traditional links page in the bottom of the page.

is possible that peopole do not aware yet to the power of exchanging links? and what other creative link building method there is for e-commerce site?

exchanging links has been "urban legended" into relative obscurity... make sure you are doing that with relevant sites or your site will go to obsurity.

also Arelis is a scrapper and can cause you problems... and then they offer mass emails which can have you seen as a spammer... if someone passes along one of your generic emails to google your site can get banned

Well thanks for the the advise but i already know that i shouldn't use the mailing feature, i use it only to find relevant site and than i contact them manually.
What i really want to ask is for better (more interesting) ways to show my links.

People are very hisitant to exchange links anymore. It is a practice that has basically failed due to spammers. No one trusts the legitamacy anymore. Also, people are worried that they are only helping you and not themselves (or hurting themselves).
The easiest and simplest way (beleive it or not) is to actually just create your own blog about your industry category. Link to your own e-commerce site and other appropriate web articles that do not sell.
