Search Marketing Resolutions for 2008

I know it's already a few weeks into 2008, but I finally finished editing a big list of search marketing resolutions for the year. The first part is in today's SearchDay, Search Marketing "Resolutions" for 2008, with part two coming tomorrow.

Anyone want to share their search resolutions, or discuss some of the ones mentioned in the articles?

Great article Kevin and really liked Danielle's take on educating the next generation of students. Two thumbs up!

We may find out whether Jason Calcanis has access to unlimited capital if we can get Jason to do an interview for SES Magazine before Search Engine Strategies New York.

Re: Search Marketing Resolutions for 2008

David Berkowitz, director of emerging media & client strategy at 360i is right on the money on the engines testing display elements in search. Also agree with Wikia putting pressure on the Big 3.

"Consumers gain the most control yet over their privacy."

That's optimistic. I think the Orion panel discussion at SES Chicago gave the audience a whole new way to view privacy.

We've voluntarily given up much of our privacy by joining social networks and sharing information.

Re: Search Marketing Resolutions for 2008

Eric Enge casts doubt on the success of Mahalo, joining Andrew's prediction, and Debby Richman's take on human-powered search.

Does anyone think Mahalo can succeed? Hitwise traffic numbers are up. Is traffic being driven by social media and community?

Mahalo.... will get the same market share as the percentage of the population that knows what language it is and what it means....

okay I will add to their share - it is Hawaiian for Thank You.... lol... your welcome!

Nothing against Mahalo but it would seem that mathematics are against any human powered search engine in terms of it's ability to scale.
