Google Gmail Content Ads

FYI:

Quote:
As you may be aware, Google's Gmail service, which is part of the content network, also displays AdWords ads. As of last week, statistics for ads shown on Gmail will appear in your Placement Performance Reports.

While you cannot target Gmail directly, all ads opted into the content network are eligible to show on Gmail. As with all contextually targeted ads, Gmail ads are placed using an automated process that matches relevant ads to web pages and newsletters within the Google Network. You can however prevent your ads from showing on Gmail by excluding "gmail.com " in the Site Exclusion tool.

If you'd like to learn about how to best utilize contextual targeting, please visit our Help Center.

Re: Google Gmail Content Ads

I have to wonder about the targeting. In my gmail this week, there was an Adsense ad running that was offering 100 free fart videos.

Re: Google Gmail Content Ads

Will this limit Gmail ads, even though the URL for Gmail is http://mail.google.com?
