Discovery of Yahoo Import Campaign from 3rd Party
Yahoo - Import campaigns from Google and MSN in a few easy steps.
Now I hate the fact that this feature has probably been available for some time and I just happened to stumble upon it now! I have outlined this very feature to my contacts at Y! and even discussed the details of how it could work with the VP of Network Quality and a few managers. At the time all of them poo poo'ed the idea, they felt that very few would need such a tool and more importantly Yahoo is so different from Google and MSN that their campaigns needed to be started from scratch "baked with the right ingredience". However, here it is, a conversion tool on the website to convert a Google file into a Y! import file. I'm sure I was one of many people who have requested this, Kudos for listening to advertisers and making it happen. In your control panel go to: Campaigns > Import > tab: Import 3rd party campaigns You can convert a third party campaign into a Yahoo! Search Marketing campaign. The converted campaign file can then be imported into your account. 1. Download your third party campaign to a file. Navigate to the appropriate third party marketing site. Log in to your account. Follow the instructions for downloading a third party campaign to a file. 2. Locate your third party campaign file on your computer. Click Browse to locate the downloaded third party campaign file on your computer. Make sure the file is in csv or zip format and that it adheres to the suggested guidelines. 3. Convert your third party campaign file. Choose a name that will help you remember what campaign is in the third party campaign file. Click Convert to convert the campaign information and produce a new converted campaign file. 4. Download and review the converted campaign file. To open the converted campaign file, select the Download link in the table below. Converted Campaigns History Date Converted Campaign Converted By Status Comments Days to Deletion Converted Campaign File 5. Import the converted campaign file. Since I just found this, my next post will be the results of my attempt to convert and upload. Have fun - Discovery |

Re: Discovery of Yahoo Import Campaign from 3rd Party
I just did this on Wednesday. Worked great. The only issue was that due to Yahoo's match driver, some of the KWs from the imported campaign weren't imported because they were "duplicates."
Still, it was a huge timesaver. I'll definitely be using this feature in the future. Melissa |
