Yahoo Traffic
I have several keywords ranked on top 5 at yahoo. But I hardly get 50+ visits from Yahoo in total. For the same keywords I get 400+ from Google. Anyway to improve this scenario?
Thanks for any suggestion. Last edited by bretheartbobby : 11-13-2007 at 04:14 AM. |

Re: Yahoo Traffic
Of course there's a difference in market share for search, but it can sometimes also be a difference in the demographic of the user base, depending on the vertical the site is in.

Re: Yahoo Traffic
the fact that Google is the leading and most used SE today could be the reason for such a huge difference with the stat of your traffic sources.

Re: Yahoo Traffic
Probably a demographic issue between your site and the users of the different SE's. Other possibility that I can see is the keyword(s) you're ranking with are not as relevant to what people are wanting as you (or yahoo) may think. Try looking at your keywords with fresh eyes (ask a friend/collegue to help).
On the bright side, you're ranked top 5 on yahoo. That's excellent. Now you need to do your best to stay there. |

Re: Yahoo Traffic
I'm starting to think that no one gets a decent amount of Yahoo! traffic. I get over 150,000 uniques a day from Google's SERPS, and about 1,500 a day from Yahoo!.
Everything points to Yahoo! considering me very high ranking. They recognize most of my backlinks, etc. I do a lot of on-page SEO as well. Does ANYONE get 6-digit a day uniques from Yahoo!? |
