How to track search queries that triggers your ad?!

Hello

I would like to know if there is a script or something that can sort search queries that triggers your adwords/yahoo ad? I mean by this, maybe your keyword on the ad is "tuning" but the search query that trickers it is "Tuning for VW Golf 4"

Is there some kind of system that does this kind of sorting:

Keyword/frase Search quiry that triggered ad
"Tuning" "Tuning til VW Golf 4"
"Tuning" "Bmw e36 tuning"
"carstyling" "Carstyling for Mustang"

This way we can collect the "search quiries that triggered the ads" and then use this for making an even better PPC ad campaign.

I know this is possible but before i start out by getting a guy program this for me, i would want to hear you guys in here first.

This has great potential to us. And would put our campaigns on automatic and lift it several notches, since we will be able to get really cheap clicks.

This is very easy to do. Just go into the report centre in Adwords and run a Search Query Performance report for your campaign.

It will show you which exact keywords triggered your ads.

No need to write a program!

Thank you for your reply. I have tryed adwords for this, but it is not good enough. It cannot show all the stats, and searched frases and such. Also it cannot be used for yahoo and MSN at my knowledge that is.

Please tell me if you know a system that can do exactly as i said.

You could use a program such as WhosOn, which as well as the optional Live Chat feature for your website also includes live website stats, showing you who's on your site at any given time, where they are from, how long they spend on each page, how many times they have visited, and also the keyword and search engine they used to find you. This should do what you're looking for...

www.whoson.com

EDIT: Actually, this will only work if they click through to your site, not if they just rack up an impression for your ad. hmm.

well it is only people that click through that we should have the stats on.

We already use Liveperson, and this does it well, but cannot show the stats the way that i want them to be shown, as in my example...

If you acivate Google analytics on your site, you will be able to view exactly which keywords triggered which adwords adverts, along with all the other very useful features that analytics provides. Have a go, I don't think you will be disappointed with the end results
