Unwanted Ads

Google put an ad on my latest blog and I didn't ask for it! I want it OFF and I don't ever want it to happen again!!!! Who can I scream at???

I take it you had no ad code on the page?

I have seen this a few times. It is quite possible that an XSS exploit was used to inject code into your site or that you are seeing it as a result of spyware.

Care to share your URL?

I have a blog at www. travelblog.org/bloggers/pattusa that is no secret. I have had 24 blogs without an ad appearing and then on number 25....! I don't want their pictures competing with mine. I have written to travelblog, google and the advertiser with my complaints.

I have seen other people's blogs with ads on the right hand side. Never thought much about it because they are in a box that say Google Ads and seems separated from the blog itself.

Maybe it's just that I'm looking at my own blog, but that ad is NOT in a box and is side by side with my pictures!!!!

I'm in paradise and don't want to be stressed by some stupid ad!!

Thanks for any info you can provide and for letting me vent.

After my little Texas hissy fit, the ads all got put in the little box to the right of the blog like they were supposed to have --- and not over my pictures!

There is a discussion over at WebmasterWorld about some changes to the AdSense ads.... wonder if something similar happening here too?
