Give me money or I will drop your Google Rank

These are the words of a link farm company that threatens to drop your page rank if you dont pay up protection money.

A tactic none of us could think off, apparently theres a company thats making people pay for protection of their
domains.

E.g.
They claim to run numerous link farms and threaten to drop your google page rank if you dont pay up by linking
your site to bad neighbourhoods which we all know google penalizes you

They also claim they will copy your content so google will think its duplicate content, they also haave written that
some big companies have come to them for this tactic.

Ever had your pagerank dropped? IT was probably because of thems or atleast they say that.

Reading over it again, they offer two services or one as I like to say

Drop your competitors pagerank
Pay them to protect your domain

And it even says
Pay up or have your forum spammed!

They claim to have a farm of vbulletin, phpbb, smf, ipb forums listed by category and normally write this message
before spamming a forum.

'Your forum will be spammed in the next few days'

With a message:
Pay up to this url or have your forum heavily spam

And they hit you when you least expect it!

I don't know about you but dropping your competitor from Google sounds rather yummy now..................
Plus it would be easier to optimize the website wouldn't it be,

They say the aim is to become well known that no domain would end up safe.
Look at their portfolio!!

If you own a forum, you probably face spam every day anyway - just hit the delete button. If you're really worried, you can always install CAPTCHA images on the registration page, require email verification and even add nofollow's to the posted links of new members. And as Steven said, it's probably just a bunch of kids.

Those people will soon learn that they earn nothing by attacking and scaring and blackmailing people. The real mafia is different... It's real life, you live only once so if the mafia blackmails you then it's your money or your life. Hence, we have the police to protect us.

I think that compagny will soon just disappear when that kid realizes that scaring people will not give him a dime. How do you earn money? Not by blackmailing, but by selling, advertising etc.

Sure and perhaps just being cautious but, the site is asking for your DOB and Tax ID# on one page while at the same time selling "stolen credit cards" on another.

No... They are really foolish. They can't organise people to click on your site, because they don't have any money to hire the people, because obviously they can't make any money because their money making scam is totally nuts.

You got to tell them: "I am not bill gates, money doesn't grow on my back so I can't give you any money".
