Hi everyone,

I have vacancy at a digital marketing agency based in London.

Job spec:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Proactively research and identify linking opportunities with web sites to ensure we deliver improved rankings and increase relevant targeted traffic to nominated websites of our clients. The role will involve managing and developing large scale link building campaigns and regular monitoring/reporting on campaign effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify quality sites and directories that might be suitable for linking. This will be based on a thorough knowledge of client web sites and also prioritising which of these sites need particular focus.

Build a simple excel spreadsheet or database of contacts, active links, volume of traffic through those links, page ranks and dates due for renewal.

Compose link text and descriptions in close coordination with the SEO Supervisor.

Report back to SEO Supervisor with link activity recommendations based on:

i. Cost of link
ii. Duration of link
iii. Relevancy to client site
iv. Estimated traffic from targeted site
v. Page ranking of targeted site

Work with SEO Supervisor to negotiate best deals with site owners, these negotiations are likely to take place primarily over email but some sites may warrant telephone negotiation.

Provide regular simple reports to SEO Supervisor including:

i. Daily list of recommended links and associated costs
ii. Monthly review of links/client site and how they are performing
iii. Monthly summary of budget spend

Regularly review paid links and make recommendations to SEO Supervisor on those links to be renewed and those which should be not.

Work with SEO Supervisor to assist with link building proposals.

Clients may provide the client with suggested sites which the link Executive will need to pursue and report back on to the SEO Supervisor.

Assist SEO Supervisor with general search engine optimisation as and when required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A deadline driven self starter, attention to detail and motivated by achieving set targets and communicating results achieved

Previous experience as a link builder and experience working in a fast paced environment highly desirable.

Knowledge and understanding of Web 2.0 highly desirable.

Confident communicator, particularly written and phone negotiation skills.

A web savvy individual who has a good understanding of how to search for potential relevant sites, comfortable with initiating basic negotiations with 'cold called' prospects.

Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Proficient in word and excel. Some HTML understanding while not essential, would be desirable.

Understanding or willingness to learn basic underlying SEO principles.

Energetic individual who will proactively suggest new ideas and enjoys being a team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
