Give it up for SES Toronto
Hi all, the buzz is picking up for SES Toronto!
We have a potential coup happening in that I believe there is a new unofficial SES Toronto Party Coordinator - pending Joe trying to take back the mantle - but beyond that, top speakers (going to be listed on the site by Tuesday -- you have until Thursday night to pitch if you're interested, check blog.searchenginestrategies.com for info), and a great keynote speaker in Seth Godin! http://www.searchenginestrategies.com/sew/toronto07/ So now is the time to ask the requisite question: who's coming and what do you hope to get up to while you're in Toronto? |

I don't market a lot to Canadians, although it's certainly a huge market to explore. If any American marketers on here are finding the US market too saturated, it's amazing how much potential is still left in Canada. This will be a great conference for discovering this potential, and a must-go-to event for anyone interested in the subtle differences between the US and Canadian markets. ![]() Rob |

Very exciting...
Still up in the air for me. Either SES Toronto or Miami (not both). Leaving it up to the wife. But Seth Godin, makes it more interesting... |

I can't wait. An SES on home turf! Looking forward to hearing Seth speak, too.

Best of luck with the show gang!
![]() Even though it's homegrown, I won't be attending this year. ![]() Went to NYC SES again and that killed my meager in-house budget. I did go to the first SES Toronto event way back and it was great - easy to meet folks, easy to get into sessions - it's a much smaller crowd, but still keeps the quality of the product high. ![]() Duane |

Passport? Is a passport now necessary to travel from US to CA?
(I thought a voter ID was enough) |

New Requirements for Travelers Between the United States and Canada: Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) Effective January 23, 2007, all U.S. citizens traveling by air to and from Canada are required to have a valid passport to enter the United States. As early as January 1, 2008, U.S. citizens traveling between the United States and Canada by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid U.S. passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain passports or passport cards for land/sea entries. American citizen travelers are encouraged to apply for a U.S. passport or the passport card when it becomes available, well in advance of anticipated travel. American citizens can visit travel.state.gov or call 1-877-4USA-PPT (1-877-487-2778) for information on applying for a passport. Current Requirements for Entry Into Canada Visas are not required for U.S. citizens entering Canada from the U.S. You will, however, need:
If you are a dual U.S./Canadian citizen you should always present yourself as a Canadian citizen when entering Canada. However, U.S. citizens should use their U.S. passports when entering or leaving the United States. Due to international concern over child abduction, single parents, grandparents, or guardians traveling with children often need proof of custody or notarized letters from the other parent authorizing travel. (This is in addition to proof of citizenship as explained above.) Any person under the age of 18 and traveling alone should carry a letter from his/her parent or guardian authorizing the trip. Travelers without such documentation may experience delays at the port of entry. For further information, including information on student or business travel, visitors can contact the Embassy of Canada at 501 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20001, (202) 682-1740, see their Internet home page at http://www.canadianembassy.org or contact the nearest Canadian consulate. (A list of Canadian consulates is at the end of this brochure.) Information For Business Travelers Under Canada’s temporary entry requirements, business visitors are foreign nationals who want to temporarily engage in international business activities in Canada for a period of up to six months. Detailed information can be found on the Canada International web site at http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca...canada-en.aspx
