Mapping and Google ranking - help please!
Hi
Does mapping cause a problem with SEO? My core domain is www.springtomind.co.uk and I have another domain mapped to it i.e. www.springtomind.com. All my incoming links are to my core domain but Google only seems to show my mapped domain when I do searches. Even if I do a search for my core domain, by entering the actual web address into the search box in Google, it still shows the mapped domain a long way above the core domain. Eventually Google shows the core domain last of all search results and even then it doesn't show my home page - just all the others (including work in progress pages). Does anybody know why this might be happening? Also if I use Google Webmaster tools it shows 254 so-called external links to my mapped domain from all the individual pages in my core domain. Surely this should not happen because the pages should only be linking to each other within the domain itself. Any thoughts? |
