Wordtracker vs Overture or something better?
Hi,
I'm confused by the abundance of keyword tools out there. I'm trying to get an accurate estimate of target keywords that receive the most search volume so we can focus on which keywords we want to optimize our web pages for. The numbers I get for Wordtracker and Overture are wildly different. - I hear that Wordtracker and Overture are both skewed - why, and how to get around this? - is there any free/ inexpensive tool that you recomend that gives better search volume estimates. Many thanks in advance! |

From what I understand, they all base their results on different sets of data, which is why you can come up with differing results when using different tools. Most people advise using a couple of different tools, and compiling/cross referencing the results.
In any case, check out Keyword Discovery - it's definitely one of my favorites, and it's cheap. |
