Free Keyword Research Tools

In case anyone missed it, both WordTracker and KeywordDiscovery are offering free keyword tools now that there are issues with the Yahoo/Overture Tool.

Yahoo says that it is not taking its tool offline (though there have been major problems trying to get it to work recently)

There was talk that the keyword suggestion tool may be taken down... but I have heard that it provides new advertisers with information that helps increased spending and without it many people would just spend less initially... so I think it will be around for awhile.

I think the problem with the Yahoo keyword tool was that it was being overused by automated software and thats why it is often slow or inaccessible.

By the way, here are links to other free keyword tools...

It seems all the keyword research tools are based on U.S. data. When will we have a bespoke tool for the UK?

I wrote a blog post about this last week, as far as I'm aware there is only the UK Overture tool at the moment, although Wordtracker are introducing a UK only option later this month.
