Unfortunately our usual party organiser extraordinaire, Joe Morin, is unable to make this year's SES London. I have therefore taken on the daunting task of coordinating parties and events for the conference.
SES London 2007 takes place between the 13th and 15th of February, with tickets now on sale. The conference has expanded into a larger venue this year, now being held at the London ExCeL Centre. Many consider it to be the most important search conference outside of New York and San Jose, with sessions covering local, European and global industry topics. I was delighted to hear at SES Chicago that many of my friends and fellow bloggers from America have decided to fly across for this event, and look forward to seeing you all there as well. I've now visited the conference centre twice to assess the situation with hotels and bars. There are 3 bars (2 of which are hotel bars) which I think are suitable for holding after-session events. I have also made a video showing the area, hotels and bars - although would like to add event details to it before releasing the short clip. If you are planning to hold a party, open meeting or networking event during SES London, please PM me as soon as possible. I will be able to assist you with organisation, make sure that you don't clash with other events and also promote the occasion on this thread (or keep it private if you'd prefer). I also welcome people to contact me if they would be interested in sponsoring a party. Monday 12th February Drinks and socialising in the Crowne Plaza Hotel bar. The traditional pre-conference shindig that gets everyone in the mood. Tuesday 13th February 1 private party - Boo! We hate private parties ![]() Wednesday 14th February Valentines Day Padlock and Key Party - 50 free places for single SEMs. Please PM me for your free ticket (reservation required). Don't be shy now, I'll probably be going along ![]() Thursday 15th February LondonSEO.org - Venue confirmed and details on the website. I very much look forward to meeting you all face-to-face, and please check back regularly to keep updated on what's going on. ![]() Rob Last edited by evilgreenmonkey : 02-09-2007 at 12:28 PM. |

Hat-tip to Rob
Rob thanks for covering the events schedule. Looks like you have things well in control and I'm sure you will be a fine host to our search brethren.
Glad I was able to pass the torch to someone so capable. Looking forward to New York! Joe |

This conference is looking like a corker! Just got an email from a very well know figure in the search community who's planning to attend with some equally exciting guests. I'll let them (or Chris Sherman) announce it first though. Keep your eyes peeled on your blog aggregators!
Damn it Joe, how did you resist the temptation of all this juicy link bait over the years? I'm stepping away from my blog now - better block my IP for good measure!![]() Rob |
