AdSense for search?

AdSense for search????
https://www.google.com/adsense/ws-overview

I thought that ads served up on search results were AdWords...

What do you all think? Seems like there are a few reasons why they would do this:

1.) Google going after the bucks

2.) Google trying to make AdSense more attractive to advertisers by pulling it out of the realm of content-matching voodoo...

Seriously... I'm concerned because, well, frankly... the line between AdSense and AdWords seems to be blurring here. Will there be one before too long?

It's a bit confusing. A few months ago, Google decided referring to any type of ads it places as AdSense -- regardless of whether they were contextually placed or not. AdSense for Search are keyword-driven ads; AdSense for Content the contextually placed one.

AdSense for Search is effectively just a new name for AdWords, a publisher facing name. AdWords itself is now solely used as the name Google talks to advertisers about.

Well... they are clearly still calling adwords and adsense two different things...

I'm assuming that for publishers it's now all "adsense"... but for advertisers, it's still "adwords"...
