Firefox Toolbar
We just launched a customizable toolbar for Firefox. You can add/delete any engine you like, and it comes with blogging tools for TypePad, Blogger, Bloglines, LiveJournal, and Technorati.
http://www.firefoxtoolbar.com/ It comes pre-loaded with all of the Google engines, Gmail, Yahoo, MSN, Yahoo Finance, Amazon, Ebay, Dictionary.com, Technorati, Feedster, and Bloglines. A simple "Engine Manager" allows you to add/delete/move any search engine you like. We would love some feedback if you have a chance to give the Firefox toolbar a try. I simply love Firefox, and will install it on my machine at work. Soon as the bugs are worked out, it will be on all the machines at work - as long as it has the flexability you claim, and I am sure it will as with Firefox itself.

This sounds very similar to the the NeedleSearch toolbar for Moziilla and Firefox that I wrote about in February. It's been around for awhile and is stable.
See: A Better Search Tool for Finding Needles in Haystacks http://www.searchenginewatch.com/sea...le.php/3307551 Btw, Copernic offers a free toolbar for IE that allows the user to add any engine to it. Last edited by garyp : 09-03-2004 at 10:16 AM. |
