Optimizing a lawyers web site
Does anyone know of the best directories to list a lawyer's web site in? I am not looking for the general interest ones like Yahoo and business.com, but something more niche.
Also, I have heard that listing in www.findlaw.com is a good idea. Has anyone found that a findlaw profile page with a link to the main site has helped in the SERPs? Finally, are there any techniques that work better for professional sites such as lawyers, doctors, CPAs etc then other techniques? Thanks. |

Yes it would definitely help for link and popularity.
Another technique would be to submit law articles to various articles sites with the link of your website in the signature. Also have you considered the blogging option. Regards/Puneet M. |

thanks.
PuneetJvw,
Thanks for the suggestions. I have set up a blog and do ping the RSS directories every time I add a new posting (about 2 - 3 a week). I have written and submitted 3 legal articles to the directories and isnare.com already. If you have any other suggestions, the site is www.goldsteinandclegglaw.com <Mod note - i.e the site linked from my profile>. I would love to hear what you have to say. you can search the net to find out sites related to law, tax, to link yr sites. You can even opt for related link exchange sites. Ofcourse as puneet said writing articles and posting it to related sites are very useful. Go to forums and post info and use yr signature file as your site link.
