Need idea for Press Release!!!
Ok, heres the 411.
Company sells orthopedic shoes, slip resistant shoes, non slipping shoes. Target is an older audience.... the ones podiatrists serve ![]() Now, we are going to shoot out a Press Release soon and I cant think of any good ideas.. I thought MAYBE we could find articles on people who've slipped and fell at work and sued, and then discuss our shoes, but im not sure they want to go in that direction.Anyone have ideas? It must be NEWS WORTHY!! Thanks all |

Skip the press release, start the orthopedic shoes blog. Look --142 news results for orthopedic shoes. Look, DKNY makes orthopedic shoes. Help your senior audience by giving them a blog about footwear just for them. Blogs, the gift that keeps giving traffic in the long term.

Think Danny is barking up the right tree, you could always back it up with PR, but the type of "New business" PR.

Shoe media release
I would take it in that direction but add a twist.
Winter is coming up.....what is the biggest concern for elderly consumers in the winter? Slipping and falling, breaking a hip or dislocating a knee. Take it and customize it to direct the information to the consumer - then give the options of where to buy from or how to get the information, which doctors are best for this type of service..... The options to expand from there are numerous! ST3PHAN13 |

Where were you going to shoot out your press release to? My grandma doesn't read prweb...I assume you had a targeted outlet or publication that you were going to have it published in..
Take a few of these ideas and combine them. Start your blog and put a lot of effort into a seasonal, winter-is-coming article. Then make that your "press release" by getting it published in said targeted publication. PS my grandma is a fan of Reader's Digest and crossword puzzles |

Services such as Marketwire(for example) and the like provide a link between you, the wider public and probably more importantly journalists.
I wouldnt rely on your gran coming to PRweb, however such services provide services to the press industry as a whole (including larger and more geographically localised publications) , and it is that audience that I was suggesting the use of PR syndication for, should the article be of a newsworthy nature. |

I'd also start researching the destinations for your target market, find out the types of reasons these people go on to the net, what types of services are they looking for, what do they type into a search to get there, do they belong to other online forums. So often, target market can be found at your finger tips, you just need to know where and how to look.
