Conversion Tracking Dilemma
Sorry to both you all again but ....
I friend has asked me to look into conversion tracking for his restaurant. The problem is that his site isn't the end of a transaction. He has a form you fill out to see if a table is free. Upon submission the form sends the data to a completely different site which he doesn't own that handles the online booking etc. Is there anyway to make a standard html page work so that when the form is submitted it fires the google conversion tracking script then does the whole redirect bit. I remember doing it along time ago on an asp page using asp laceholder and runat but can't figure this one out. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as always. Best regards Malcolm. |

You can have a conversion element worked into the submit button - it fires and send s info to the one place and at the same time is recognised by your tracking as a lead creation..... when you get the email confirming the reservation you can convert the lead to a conversion... the beauty of the lead capture is two fold as you can then add them to a mailing list and offer direct coupons to draw people to come in - while also seeing how many actual submits convert to comfirmed reservations.
