WANTED:Senior Level Search Marketing Strategist

We are seeking a hard working and detail-oriented person to fill the role of Senior Level Search Marketing Strategist (SMS) for a growing search engine marketing agency in the Philadelphia area. This position will report to the VP, Interactive Services. Their SMSs perform advanced marketing tactics related to planning, building, launching and optimizing online marketing campaigns that are based on search engine marketing services. Organized around best marketing practices, SMSs leverage Paid Listings (Google adwords, etc), Paid Inclusion (Yahoo SSP, etc), Shopping Engine Feeds and various other search, contextual and behavioral media types to deliver results for multi-tiered campaigns. The job overview includes: analyzing opportunity, keyword research, coordination of creative with all advertisement publishing platforms and results tracking systems, reporting, analysis and optimization.

The ideal candidates will eat, drink and sleep search marketing solutions and due to the variety and scale of their client campaigns, they will have the opportunity to advance their skills as far as they can reach in every major industry vertical.

This position provides staff with experience relating to every phase of the cutting edge of online marketing services today, including search engine optimization, direct interaction with search indexes via feed processing, site analytics and campaign performance tracking, and the industry’s most detailed and comprehensive keyword bid engine methodologies. SMSs have frequent interaction with insiders at the major search engines and advanced access to next generation tools and search marketing products. In addition staff is exposed to management of hybrid media channels such as contextual targeting and behavioral re-targeting.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and organized individual who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves when necessary, but also possesses the ability to “look around the corner” in terms of proactively working with clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinating the acquisition of content and merchandise data feeds from clients
Gather research against potential spend and positioning for client and competitors
Keyword research, builds and optimization to keep spend at budget levels and performance within client goal metrics
Coordinating creative between all search marketing services
Paid Listings submission sheet preparation
Coordinating requirements of paid inclusion campaigns with feed engineers
Providing weekly strategic action plans and following through

Candidates are required to have advanced skill level in the following systems and processes:
Advanced Marketing Analytics and Tactics
Advanced Excel Skills
Performance tracking reporting: how it works, what needs to be tracked, and how to use the data.
The Functionality, Rules & Regulations of Paid Listings Engines such as Overture, Google, FindWhat, Kanoodle, etc.
Processes for Paid Listings campaigns, such as campaign setup procedures, new listing submissions, and campaign maintenance.
Harvest, Go Toast (Atlas OnePoint), Urchin and related ad serving and site analytics tools
New products & services offered by any search engine partner.

Requirements:

BA/BS from an accredited University in Marketing, Psychology, Economics or related fields.
3-5 years of SEM Experience (paid search/online marketing).
Direct response advertising experience
Must be fluent in the Search landscape, including paid search listing providers, tracking tools, bid-management systems and keyword development tools.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and synthesize large amounts of data in a deadline-driven environment is a must.
Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
Experience managing significant budgets on top tier search engines (Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc.)
Quantitative skills including the ability to monitor budgets, understand return on investment, and select relative data for analyzing future actions.
Strong organizational skills, execution and implementation skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferences:

Experience developing and optimizing keywords and ad creative in paid listings campaigns
Proficiency with online paid listings management tools
Strong analytics skills
